Looking for Ideas

I don't know what we will have our baby call it's grandparents. Although grandma and grandpa or grandmother and grandfather are fine, I kinda want something different. Any great ideas or names for the soon to be grands?

I'm kind of old fashioned and find most anything but Grandma and Grandpa or Grandmother and Grandfather dis-respectful. Again, that is just me. One thing I might suggest though, is to make sure that the grandparents are ok with whatever you decide.

What are their first names? We have Paul call Tom's mom and step dad, (Fran and Randy) Franma and Randpa.

Our girls call my husbands grandparents Grandma-Great and Grandpa-Great. The others are Grandma (last name)so they know which one we're talking about. And they used to call my dad Papa. They might have a preference though, you should ask. RJ's grandparents did.

Oh, and we got them to clean up the bees, but thanks for offering the shop vac.

Our kids have a total of 15 grandparents of different varieties. Some are "Grandma (name)". Others are Mimi, Grandma & Grandpa, DeeDee, Opa, and Mammaw. Most of those picked their name, some before we had kids, and some when we asked them what they'd like to be called now. So I say that if there isn't a name set up, ask them. And be ready if your kid picks one for them, that's how we got Opa.

In India, they are called "dada(grandpa)", and "dadi(grandma)"...
ask any Indian couple how to pronounce it though, or else your children shall end up pronouncing sth awkwardly different...
