Roughly the size of a barge

So in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Gaston (the bad guy) sings about being "roughly the size of a barge." Well I have seemed to bypass him in size. I feel like there is no end to my ever growing belly. I can't see my toes. I swear I have gained 500lbs in belly matter. I will find out the more accurate damage tomorrow at my appointment. My goal was to gain 20-25lbs with the pregnancy. I am guess that will be out of the window. I don't know how I keep growing with being able to fit so little into my squished stomach. Oh well. I have to keep reminding myself that as long as the baby is healthy, then all is well. I am down to less than 12 weeks. I can't believe it has gone by so quickly. It simultaneously feels like I just found out I was pregnant and like I have been pregnant forever. I am continually amazed at how strong the baby is getting. Work is starting to get uncomfortable because the baby seems to get frustrated with me for not focusing on it and so it proceeds to kick me until I can ignore it no more. I am way too in love with my little kicker. Well enough on me and the munchkin.
My baby sister is engaged! I am so excited for her. Her fiance is a goofball (yes I mean you Collin) so he will fit in great with my crazy family. They are getting married the end of June in Utah. I am little nervous about traveling so soon after the baby is born. Our plan is to drive there and back as I am not thrilled with the idea of mixing dirty airplane air and brand new baby. Any suggestions on how to make the trip more comfortable for Randy, the baby and me?

Hey, I found your blog off your facebook page. I wouldn't worry too much about the weight gain. I've found how much you gain has absolutely no correlation to how much you lose afterwards. Seriously. Also, you are quite brave to be making such a long road trip with a newborn. We went to Utah when Ellawyn was about 5months. It took us 20hrs to make a 14hr trip. I would plan on stopping every 2-3hrs--regardless of if you nurse or use a bottle, the baby will need a break from the car seat. Also, don't try to do the whole trip in one day. Plan on a hotel halfway. Expect the baby to completely hate the car seat when you return home.

Airplane travel with tiny babies is actually great, we think! Especially since they are FREE until age 2. Make sure you take a stroller. They will let you check it as you board, making your life so much better! We didn't take a stroller one time with Paul and regretted it FOREVER! Taking bottles, formula, etc is no big deal with the liquid rules, they will let you take whatever baby stuff you need if you have a baby.

We drove from Pocatello to Fruitland (about 6 hours is all) when Austin was just a few days old. I would much rather travel with a tiny baby than what I get to travel with now. :) He (your baby) will probably sleep a lot of the way. And like others mentioned, he will totally hate sitting in the car seat when you are done with the trip.

I remember those days. It doesn't matter how much weight you gain. The doc tells you how much you should gain but what does he know. Especially if its a guy! It is ideal to not gain any but you know you will...plus you wear it well. You look unbelievably gorgeous. I have been asking you for years when ur going to get pregnant and its finally happened. I am so excited!!! Congrats!

Congrats! You look unbelievably gorgeous. I have been asking you for years when ur going to get pregnant and the time has come. I am so happy for you. It is wonderful to be a mom. Kylee is getting in to the terrible 2's lately and I could so do without that...but I will take. Only cuz she's so cute;) And I know that you are all peranoid about how much weight you gain...but just think about the baby and as long as the baby is ok then ur ok. You look beautiful!

I've just got to tell you that for the most part, traveling with your first newborn will be the easiest traveling you will ever do. The first month or so is their most portable stage! After that it gets difficult. And it depends on the baby, some travel extremely well and some hate to travel so you may want to plan for the extra time just in case but you won't necessarily need it.
